Projects using OpenAirClim

  • Non-CO₂ MRV: OpenAirClim is used for small emitters (Method D) within the European Commission’s Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) framework for non-CO₂ emissions from aviation. The model is integrated into the NEATS tool, under development by EUROCONTROL.

  • DINA2030+: Project funded by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft and Klimaschutz under the German Aviation Research Program LuFo VI-2. The development of the OpenAirClim contrail module was partially financed by this project.

  • HEROPS: The Hydrogen-Electric Zero Emission Propulsion System (HEROPS) project aims to introduce climate-neutral propulsion into regional aircraft. OpenAirClim is being used by Royal NLR to quantify the climate impacts of future aircraft powered by hydrogen.

  • Impact Monitor 2: The project aims to deliver a coherent and holistic toolbox and framework for climate impact assessments. OpenAirClim is integrated into the modelling framework.

  • 328H2-FC: Project funded by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft and Klimaschutz under the German Aviation Research Program LuFo VI-2. The development of the OpenAirClim contrail module was partially financed by this project.
